When medals are awarded they generally come in a presentation case / box mounted on a ribbon ready to be pinned on. These pin-back mounts however have to be removed to allow the medals to be mounted with other previously awarded medals.

a). Freie Deutsche Jugend (FDJ) Hans Beimler Medal in bronze. Plain reverse. Enamel suspender clasp.
b). Silver commemorative medal of Fürstenwalde Oberschule Hermann Matern (1893-1971). Plain reverse with enamel pin-back suspender clasp.

WW2 8th Armoured Division Pair of Un-issued Machine-woven Shoulder-flashes.

Uncut strip of two machine-woven patches for the 8th Armoured Division which was formed in England in 1940. In 1942 it moved to North Africa where only one of it's brigades took part in the withdrawal to El Alamein.. The division was disbanded once victory had been achieved in North Africa although the flash continued to be worn by an RASC unit.

Attractive WW1 sweetheart brooch in the form of the RFC cap-badge. Gilded brass wreath with blue enamelled 'RFC' and red enamel cushions in the crown. Pinback.
32mm high. Very good condition with no enamel damage. There is a small dark patch on the right of the wreath. No makers marks.  read more
