Imperial : German S98/05 aA Bayonet with Leather Scabbard and Frog.

First pattern S98/05 bayonet with the early long-eared quillon and no flash-guard. There is no rust at all although the steel has naturally darkened. Excellent smooth clean blade with the makers details 'Weyerberg Kirschbaum & Cie. Solingen' in four lines on the ricasso. The back of the blade includes the date stamp for 1915.
