Beautifuuly gilded metal regimental pin-back badge with enamel central shield. This regiment was considered mixed as it was made up not only of infantry but other supporting arms. The 5e Régiment Mixte du Pacifique was established in 1948 and was specifically formed to serve in the French territories in the Pacific, including French Polynesia, It played a role in maintaining French presence and authority in the region.
The badge bears the name of the unit on the reverse along with 'Drago Paris' and 'G1991'.
